My Mac Neutral Palette

Tuesday 13 January 2015

Hello Lovelies!
There's something very personal about a creating your own neutral's palette. You get to choose all the colour that go in it and how you place them in the palette and it's something that has personalised colors to suit you! Obviously this is something that I believe would excite and beauty enthusiast and minus the fact it costs roughly £45 all in all, it's really a product that's worth having for yourself. The actual palette is really good quality and not made of flimsy material that's going to break easily or have the pan's fall out of the palette. It's slightly annoying that they don't come with a mirror but I think the design of having is so you can see the colours in your palette is a really nice idea and I'd probably rather that than the mirror.

So onto the colours!
My First colour (which is the top left) is brule, which is a neutral light cream colour base that i use to either create a clear canvas across my lid, or to use as a highlight for the corners of my eyes and brow bone. It's a really nice cream colour that's not too light or glittery that it look to extreme during the day and is just a nice subtle day time colour.

The Next colour is Era (which is top right). This is a lovely light grey brown, which makes for a lovely crease colour and works well around the outside of the lid as a shadow colour. I tend to use this alongside Brule as a nice everyday look that looks good with hazel eyes because silver's and greys will bring out the hazel pigment and makes my eyes stand out a bit more.

The Next colour is Espresso (which is bottom left). This is a really nice mid-toned brown that could also be used as an eye brow colour for some people but may be too light for others. I love using this in the same places that I use era but for maybe a more evening look or the dreaded 'smart casual' look that is always so hard to work out how smart or how casual you go. Genrally I use this with Brule and era all together to created a graduated colour effect.

Finally is possibly my favourite if I'm being honest and that is the ever spoken about, Woodwinked (Bottom Right). This is a great all over the lid colour that is so flattering on pretty much all eye colours. It's a really nice glittery bronze colour that I think is just a staple colour for any fan of eye shadow or Mac. I also think this is a lovely shadow for anyone looking to get into mac eye shadows because this is an easy one to work with and a unique stand out colour for them.

Thankyou all for reading my first post in a very long time!! I hope this gives anyone reading any ideas for their own neutral palette so I'd love to know your thoughts? and whether you have any of these shadows or could recommend other neutrals?

Love Becky xxx
